Together with our St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School children & our Wednesday Faith Formation Children, we have all been invited to explore the key elements of our Catholic Faith – Revelation, Jesus, Church, Trinity, Morality, Sacraments, Kingdom of God, and Church Social Teachings all at the same time – each at a deeper level!

St. Charles has a special web tool – Call to Faith e-Connect – to assist with deepening our understanding of our faith and living our faith! Parishioners are urged to try it now! Log onto www.calltofaitheconnect.com/stcharles.

Reminder to Parents who Have Had Their Child Baptized

When your child was baptized, you were instructed:

“You have asked to have your child baptized. In doing so, you are accepting the responsibility of training them in the practice of the faith.”

-Rite of Baptism

Parents are expected to see to their child’s faith formation through regular attendance at Mass and enrollment either in a Catholic school OR in a Catholic Faith Formation program (aka Religious Education or CCD program) if the child attends public school.

Note: Regular participation in Catholic School OR Catholic Faith Formation is essential preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.

Registration for Faith Formation 2010-2011

Registration forms were mailed out on August 7, 2010. If you have not received a Family Faith Formation Registration Form in the mail and plan on having your child/ren enrolled, please contact Sr. Marie as soon as possible so that we can order adequate supplies and materials.

Tuition: For enrolling one child in the program, the cost is $60. For 2 or more children, the cost of enrollment is $80. This tuition may be paid in installments.

Opening Session: The opening session for parents and children will be Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Church. This will include the celebration of the Eucharist. Sharing group sessions for children in public school (grades K-12) take place on most Wednesdays through May 11, 2011.
